1. Imbalance of upper and lower jaw results in improper detention and mouth closing.

2. Orthodontic treatment is needed prior to the surgery.

3. During the operation, the lower and upper jaws are readjusted into the correct positions.

4. Bone retention equipment is placed.

5. After the surgery and the orthodontics, the profile is harmonized, jaws are in correct position resulting in proper biting, dentation and speech.

          During the recovery period, avoid heavy exercise or activity and avoid strong impact around surgical areas. Swelling after surgery should be better in one month otherwise you should consult your dentist immediately.
